ServicesWe provide ABA therapy to children on the spectrumThe Client: Our clients have a primary diagnosis of ASD. Children are between the ages of 2-16 years old.
Treatment Method: We employ research based strategies aimed at maximizing the functioning and independence for children with ASD. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the root of all treatment methods used. Among the available approaches to treating autism, ABA has demonstrated efficacy in promoting social and language development and in reducing behaviors that interfere with learning and cognitive functioning. It is the recommend treatment for Autism by the Surgeon General, and is the only treatment research has consistently and conclusively found to be effective. The ABA approach teaches social, motor, and verbal behaviors as well as reasoning skills. ABA therapy is used to teach behaviors to individuals with autism who may not otherwise "pick up" these behaviors spontaneously through imitation. ABA teaches these skills through use of behavioral observation and positive reinforcement or prompting to teach each step of a behavior.
Main Program Model: We feature 1:2 and small group treatment sessions. Each child's individualized treatment goals are established in collaboration with the parents and IEP and include a full ABLLS and Behavior Assessment. Our curriculum's foundation of positive reinforcement is provided to support each child's development and growing relationships. This program is completely funded through the Autism Scholarship and is ABA based. We only used methodologies that have been proven through research because your children do not have time to waste. Your child’s program is individually tailored to their needs and carefully monitored by a highly trained, experienced behavior analyst, to ensure their reaching their full potential and getting the most out of what we have to offer. Focus Session Model: In addition to our main program, the Silver Lining offers “after session” intensive programs. These programs are not covered by the Autism Scholarship, but offer one on one attention to your child’s specific needs. Focus Sessions are open to anyone, and offer that added bit of support a child sometimes needs. To learn more, please see our Focus Session Fact Sheet below.
